Terms of Service

Welcome to WriteChef. By creating an account, accessing the service, or using any WriteChef tool, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use WriteChef.

1. Who we are

WriteChef is an AI-powered writing platform that helps users generate, rewrite, and refine written content such as review responses, resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn posts, emails, and cold outreach.

2. Eligibility and accounts

• You must provide accurate account information when signing up.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
• You may not share, resell, lease, or provide access to your account in a way that bypasses plan limits or our intended use of the service.

3. What WriteChef provides

WriteChef provides software tools that generate suggested written output using third-party AI models and infrastructure. We may change, improve, add, suspend, or remove features at any time.

Some features may be offered on a free tier with usage limits, and others may require a paid subscription.

4. Free and paid plans

WriteChef currently offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pricing, usage limits, and included features may change over time. Any changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.

• Free plans may include daily generation limits or other restrictions.
• Paid plans may include unlimited or higher-volume usage, history access, and other premium features.
• We may enforce reasonable usage controls to protect service reliability, prevent abuse, and maintain fair access for all users.

5. Billing, renewals, and cancellations

• If you purchase a paid plan, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the applicable subscription fees, taxes, and any other disclosed amounts.
• Paid subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing cycle.
• You can cancel at any time, and unless otherwise stated, cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once charged.

6. AI-generated output and your responsibility

WriteChef uses AI to generate content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, offensive, or unsuitable for your purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any generated output.

• WriteChef does not guarantee factual accuracy, originality, legal compliance, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• You should not rely on WriteChef as a substitute for legal, financial, medical, employment, or other regulated professional advice.
• If you use WriteChef for job application materials, business communications, public posts, or customer interactions, you remain fully responsible for the final content.

7. Your content

You may submit text, prompts, instructions, uploaded content, and related material to WriteChef (“Input”). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you retain your rights in your Input.

As between you and WriteChef, and to the extent permitted by law, you may use the output generated for you by the service (“Output”). Because AI systems may generate similar results for different users, we do not guarantee Output will be unique.

You grant WriteChef the rights needed to host, process, transmit, store, and analyze your Input and Output as necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service, subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Prohibited uses

You may not use WriteChef to:

• Violate any law, regulation, contract, or third-party right.
• Generate or distribute unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, harassing, or abusive content.
• Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality rights.
• Spam, phish, scam, impersonate others, or facilitate deceptive outreach.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, probe, overload, or interfere with the service.
• Bypass access controls, rate limits, security protections, or billing mechanisms.
• Use the service to build or train a competing product using our service output at scale.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for WriteChef or others, failed to pay fees when due, or used the service in a harmful or abusive way.

10. Third-party services

WriteChef relies on third-party providers for infrastructure and functionality, including AI model providers, payment processors, hosting, analytics, and authentication or database services. We are not responsible for outages, errors, policy changes, or other acts or omissions of third parties.

11. Intellectual property

WriteChef and its software, branding, site design, and related materials are owned by WriteChef or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these Terms, no rights are granted to you.

12. Disclaimers

WriteChef is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uptime, and reliability.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WriteChef and its founders, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WriteChef and its affiliates, personnel, and partners from and against claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or related to your Input, Output, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update the service or these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the website, your account, or email. Your continued use of WriteChef after updated Terms become effective means you accept them.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WriteChef operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
